Our Story

A warm welcome and some background info from Crossroads owners Donna and Neil Coventry...

Crossroads is a little home away from home for the happy wanderer, conveniently nestled just off the R103 between Michaelhouse School and Nottingham Road. If you're looking for an affordable self-catering farmstay while on your travels, we'd love to welcome you to our cozy getaway right in the heart of the Midlands.

Sink into bed

We've made sure our rooms have an electric blanket and extra blankets for those chilly nights, a spacious hot shower, and a comfy bed to sink into. Guests can choose to bring whatever goodies they need with them to have a 'staycation' or stock up at Nottingham Road Spar, but of course there are also plenty of places to have coffee or meals along the Meander too.

We believe in nourishing that wonderful childlike perspective that everything is an adventure. We've found this has been the best approach in our lives together; it leads us to explore more and appreciate more, and the excitement of going on an adventure - whether it is globetrotting or trying something new on the menu - tends to be infectious.

We've found the perfect home to nurture this perspective that life is a journey. We're situated immediately after Holly Crossing with trains such as the Shosholoza and Rovos Rail going past (we like to wave in case it's Sheldon Cooper on board). What's more, the property itself was once the site of the old Holly station and still has the original arch and lantern.

Happy travels and hope to see you soon,
